Introduction to Digital Music Production Spring 2026
This certificate course will introduce students to the powerful tools and techniques needed for digital music production.
Starting with the basics of audio and how to use a Digital Audio Workstation all the way to song pre-production, recording, editing and mixing techniques.
Through a series of assignments students learn how to create their own songs and instrumental tracks while developing their ability to think and listen like a producer.

Digital Music Production Spring 2026: Level 3
The Music Production Level 3 advanced certificate course explores the full creative and technical
synergy between production, recording, mixing, and mastering. Students build their own songs
from the ground up while learning how each musical or technical decision shapes the final energy
and sound. The focus is on smart, intentional decisions that make music hit emotionally and
sonically. All sessions take place in a professional studio setting.

• Arranging for Sound (choosing parts and registers that sound great together),

• Perfection vs. Imperfection (using both for maximum impact),
