Ballet for Youth

For your energetic little movers, this weekly dance workshop will explore the fundamentals Classical ballet techniques from the Vaganova curriculum. A wonderful exploration of performance skills.

Topics will include:
-Introductory phase with warmup and strength training.
-Classical Ballet Technique, Pointe, Men’s and Women’s Variations, Pas de Deux.
-Final phase is about stretching, and cooling exercises.

Students will be divided into groups based on their age and level.

Tuesdays (January 23rd - June 18th)

LEVEL 1: (7-9years) (5:30PM - 6:30PM)
LEVEL 2: (10-15years) (6:30PM-7:30PM)
LEVEL 3: (12-16years) (7:30PM-8:30PM)

(one week holiday for eid)

Modern Contemporary dance for youth

For your energetic little movers, this weekly dance workshop will explore the fundamentals of Contemporary and Modern Dance.

We will get grooving and moving in fun and challenging ways. A wonderful exploration of performance skills and high energy movement!

Topics will include:
-Introductory phase with warmup and strength training.
-Contemporary choreographies and stage performance.
-Final phase is about stretching, and cooling exercises.

Students will be divided into groups based on their age and level.

Thursdays January 25th - June 20th

LEVEL 2 (10-15 years) Schedule: (6:30PM- 7:30PM)

DJing and Turntablism Labs

Through this Lab at Berklee Abu Dhabi, the student is encouraged to become a skilled turntablist across diverse genres.

A range of skills and techniques such as: cueing, mixing, beat matching, beat extending, mash-ups, blending, and scratching will be covered.

Over the span of two days, participants will delve into essential vocal styles crucial for success in musical theatre. The first day will encompass traditional and contemporary musical theatre vocal styles, including group singing sessions, individual vocal masterclasses, and discussions on developing a seamless mixed voice. The second day will focus on mastering musical theatre belting techniques and selecting impactful audition songs. Throughout the masterclass, participants will also acquire valuable insights into repertoire selection and performance skills necessary for achieving success in musical theatre.
